What makes Mulholland Drive so compelling is the non-linear narrative and the interpretation therein. Lynch had baffled me before but this story was so rich and so lean while capturing the tone of the Hollywood that I do wished to have lived in that I kept wanting to learn and to feel more and as the ending approached I felt certain that I was set to get what I desired.
